                                  African Child’s Dream Initiative (ACDI)

Definition

A humanitarian program dedicated to providing education, healthcare, and nutrition to orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) in crisis-affected communities across Africa.

Objectives

  • Ensure access to quality education for disadvantaged children.

  • Deliver health interventions to reduce child mortality.

  • Combat hunger and malnutrition among OVCs.

Key Activities

  1. Education Support

    • Full and partial scholarships for orphans and IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons).

    • School supplies: Uniforms, backpacks, and learning materials.

  2. Health Interventions

    • Medical check-ups and emergency health responses.

    • Nutrition programs for malnourished children.

  3. Community Outreach

    • Interactive sessions on child rights and development.

    • Support for guardians and caregivers of OVCs.

Documented Impact (2021)

  • 11 IDP children enrolled in schools (e.g., Mirriam, 5-year-old orphan from Bamenda).

  • 500+ scholarships awarded nationally/internationally (aligned with ACEI data).

  • 300+ lives impacted through health/nutrition programs (linked to ACHI).
