African Child’s Dream Initiative (ACDI)
Definition
A humanitarian program dedicated to providing education, healthcare, and nutrition to orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) in crisis-affected communities across Africa.
Objectives
Ensure access to quality education for disadvantaged children.
Deliver health interventions to reduce child mortality.
Combat hunger and malnutrition among OVCs.
Key Activities
Education Support
Full and partial scholarships for orphans and IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons).
School supplies: Uniforms, backpacks, and learning materials.
Health Interventions
Medical check-ups and emergency health responses.
Nutrition programs for malnourished children.
Community Outreach
Interactive sessions on child rights and development.
Support for guardians and caregivers of OVCs.
Documented Impact (2021)
11 IDP children enrolled in schools (e.g., Mirriam, 5-year-old orphan from Bamenda).
500+ scholarships awarded nationally/internationally (aligned with ACEI data).
300+ lives impacted through health/nutrition programs (linked to ACHI).
